Genesis Dream Board is the culmination of years of personal introspection work conducted by the founder and his spouse. Like millions of others, this couple forgot how to dream as their lives passively unfolded through chance and circumstance. Driven by a desire to provide for his family, the founder focused on his career for 30 years. At the end he felt he had little to show for all that time traded for income. It was a good life, but not a great life. A life built around HIS choices and commitments.

After leaving his career and beginning a new one helping others with personal development and growth, it became very apparent that, like him, the world was filled with people who had forgotten how to dream. While helping others to envision and create the life they wanted, he experienced a paradigm shift. He examined his own dreams and their trajectory, noticing that he often thought of things he had always desired to have. Ways to make a difference in the world. Places he’d always wanted to travel. His vision of building a lifestyle filled with joy, happiness, liberty and contribution caused something spectacular to happen: a leap of faith.

One day, the founder’s wife had a party with several friends. Everyone brought magazines, papers and large poster boards. For hours they listened to music, cut out meaningful pictures, words and phrases and glued the elements to a poster board they dubbed a “dream board”. She hung her dream board where she would see it everyday. Over time the founder noticed that many of the goals and visions posted on his wife’s dream board had become reality…they cruised through the Panama Canal; traveled to Spain, Italy, Greece, Croatia; developed closer relationships with their daughter, grandchildren and son; and were happier in their own relationship than they had ever been. In 2011 the founders of Genesis Dream Board are celebrating 43 years of marriage.

The concept name, Genesis Dream Board, is the perfect balance of these definitions:

    Genesis - “the coming into being of something”     
    Dream - “a visionary creation of the imagination”     
    Board - “a device for posting notices”

One of our most powerful resources is imagination. In giving ourselves permission to imagine, life’s possibilities are revealed. One begins to dream again. Anything you can dream and imagine you have the power to create.

The founders encourage you to use your Genesis Dream Board as your virtual place to have fun. To dream BIG. Bigger than your conscious mind can fathom. Transform the word “Impossible” into “I-M- Possible,” a positive force moving you forward. The only boundaries in life are those we impose on ourselves.
